WELCOME TO MY SOAP BOX        I was a contracter for 10 year's in central florida . I built home's for my living their. I had a good bizzness and liked what i did as skilled laber . my income was good and was on my way to makeing something out of my life tell big money shut me down . At the time i was builing the movement of pepole to florida was so graet that we had waiting list of people wanting their new home's every body was doing good till big money got gready . big money was GENERAL CONTRACTER'S they all wanted it all ! . first they lined the politisions pocket's with money to pass a millon dollar liability insureance that we needed to have to build a home . next they passed a manitory 5 worker's workman's comp requirement to have . workmans comp take's 5% of gross income per person so 25 % of are income and $1000.00 a year toke it's toll on the little man and forced us to all work for big money and they still wanted us to pay for liebilty insureance . many like me ether moved out of state are found something else to do. so how are they building now ? well big money got rid us and that open the door for chep laber with foreinors (ilegal mexicans) but did the price come down for home's  ? no so big money has more money now ! and they did it behind are back's ! (please under stand that i dont hate) (mexican's) i know some and many are good pepole and are latino's(legal) and (ilegal's) all tell me they are not wanting to be american's they just want to suport their family's back in mexico and that's it  ! . if we only had a group like o.o.id.a. that knowed what was happening we mite of had a chance and belive me those job's are job's that people want to do and well do ! and now i see it comeing again in trucking BIG MONEY want's to force us out and put (ilegal mexican's) in are truck's ! will it bring down price's no BIG MONEY want's more . it use to be the A.T.A was are back bone of trucking but it seem's BIG MONEY has lined their pockits and has turned away from us the driver's they along with F.M.C.S.A. is on a misson to have a driver shortage and put us out to open that door again for (ilegal mexican's) dont believe me ? look at what has happen with the mexican piolt program ,we acked to stop it the congress voted 300 to 1 to stop it and still F.M.C .S .A keep's saying they well do it ! with the number of driver's out their if we all would just stick together for once and join O.O.I.D.A. and be proactive we can see this dosent happen but we dont ,why not well it's partley becouse lack of knowing about are industry by driver's if they only just toke the time to read magizne's like THE TRUCKER at the truck stop's they mite find out what's happening . and they mite see what O.O.I.D.A. dose and has been doing for year's.FIGHTING FOR ARE RIGHT'S  ! but they ether dont under stand are simply just dont care ! . i think that word OWNER OPERATER get's in the way ? if you are are not O.O.I .D.A. is for the right's of all of us .the smaller company's to ,not for them that line pockit's like the BIG COMPANY's who want it all !  and that make's me mad ! . it's all about power,money,gread ! and if we dont wake up and see what's going on we well all suffer for it  ! example like in my area their has been many people killed by drunk's that are illegal's from (mexico) that if they can flea nobody know's  who they were and no insurance . if that happen's in a 18 wheeler think about it ? and that's not all if they murder some bodey will they stay for court are leave for mexico were they can be safe from justis .  it all lies in are hand's will you help  ? will you be pro active ? are future depend's on you and me ! next time you see a trucker magizne pick one up and read it . first time joiner's to O.O.I.D.A can join for $25.00 just tell them dogman sent you they can tell you more at http://www.ooida.com/  if you cant find the trucker go to http://www.thetrucker.com/  tell them dogman sent you and want you to be (pro ative) it's not just trucking ,contracter's that are being afected by this (SMALL BIZZNESS as a whole) is . and soon the (MIDDLE CLASS) will be gone . ether you will be rich are poor . with all the stuff comeing down SPEED LIMITER'S, ON BOARD RECORDER'S,HOUR'S OF SERVICE,PORT ACSESS REQUIREMENT'S,TOLL INCREASE'S,FULE REGULATION'S,MEDICAL CERTIFCATION'S,PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTENERSHIP'S ,ECT''' WE NEED TO FIND OUT ABOUT THIS BEFORE IT HAPPEN'S AND LET ARE VOICES BE HEARD  IT IS YOUR'S,MINE,ALL AMERICAN'S TO (VOTE) AND BE PRO ATCIVE ARE FUTURE DEPEND'S ON IT !!
